These Grilled Peanut Butter Banana S'mores are a great way to keep the summer going even as it's winding down.
I can't believe the summer is almost over - although it never feels like it now in Southern California. It always seems like right as school starts back up, the weather gets even hotter. So with this hot weather, we're still using our grill as much as possible.
I really liked these bananas even more than I thought I would. They get all melted and gooey when they're on the grill - and the graham crackers add the perfect element of crunch. After you've finished grilling dinner, kept the grill warm and then throw the prepared bananas on and dessert will be ready in no time - no oven needed!
Grilled Peanut Butter Banana S'moresYields: 4 Servings
1 cup mini Reese's peanut butter cups
2 cups mini marshmallows
4 graham cracker squares, broken into bite size pieces
1 . Using a sharp knife, cut down each banana lengthwise (on the side that is curved in). Squeeze the banana open on either end so it forms a little boat.
2. Fill each banana with 1/4 cup mini peanut butter cups & 1/2 cup mini marshmallows. Tear foil into pieces big enough to wrap around the entire banana leaving enough space at the top so you're not touching the fillings. Fold the foil over on the top creating a pouch.
3. Place bananas on the grill on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, or until filling has melted. Remove from grill, tear open the foil and top with graham cracker pieces. Enjoy!
