The weather has been crazy here in Southern California. Last week it went from like 90 degrees on Monday to down in the 30’s by Friday and raining. We try not to put on the heat, but we definitely put on the electric blanket. And can I tell you, I didn’t have an electric blanket until I was married and I can’t believe what I was missing out on…it is awesome :) I don’t know how I lived without one before!
Anyways, today I have a recipe for a simple drink that is perfect for the cold weather. It is pretty similar to the Grown-up Apple Cider I shared a few weeks ago, but there’s cookie dough. Ok, there’s not actual cookie dough in the recipe, but there’s nothing that says you can’t put a little scoop on top of the whipped cream :)

Update: For those of you looking for a nonalcoholic version it looks like there is cookie dough flavored syrup you can use instead of the vodka. I haven't tried this, so I'm not sure if it is good or not.

Thanks, Nicole! So glad to have you here :)
DeleteThat looks much better. I was looking at this thinking cookie dough flavored? As in chunks of cookie dough? I felt much better after reading the recipe. Don't get me wrong, I will eat cookie dough from time to time. it was just picturing how it went in hot chocolate! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been know to eat cookie dough from time to time too :) Thanks for stopping by!

DeleteI didn't know that there was such a thing as cookie dough flavored vodka..might just have to explore that.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how many flavored vodkas they have nowadays and I was definitely a little skeptical of the cookie dough one, but it tastes surprisingly good in hot chocolate :)
DeleteThe fact that there is such a thing as cookie dough flavored vodka makes me drool. I don't do Starsucks because I don't believe in an $8 cup of coffee but I do make their goodies at home and THIS is going at the top of my list once these babies are out!!! Until then, I am going to figure out how to make it without the vodka!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had that kind of self-control to avoid Starbucks...I have to admit I'm kind of addicted (and I don't even drink coffee!) Looks like they have a cookie dough flavored syrup you could put in, so you can drink it now :) http://www.webstaurantstore.com/davinci-gourmet-cookie-dough-classic-coffee-flavoring-syrup/711SYPCDOUGH.html
